The MP3 process

For those interested in such things…all Sermons and Bible Classes are recorded on an Olympus LS-10 digital recorder. After much trial and error, we have determined that the built-in microphones (condenser-type) on the LS-10 give superior quality over wireless or standard mikes. Also, the LS-10 has the ability to record in MP3 format so no conversions are necessary. We record at 128 kbps, then edit in Adobe Soundbooth CS4 and save the edited file at 32 kbps (we were saving at 64kps, but the file size was too large – perhaps some folks running low on iPod memory).
